How to use pre-save emails notifications

Pre-save email notifications allow you to alert fans that have pre-saved a release via email on the day of release. This process assists with pre-save to listen conversion rates and DSP activity on release day. Click here to learn how to set up a pre-save smartlink. 

Setting up at the account level (Optional)

  1. Start by clicking the drop-down in the upper right-hand corner of your dashboard. 
  2. Click “Default Link Settings”. The menu setting should look like the below Scroll down until you see the Pre-Save Fan Notification header. From here you can choose “Enable fan notifications by default” and “Enable default artist image by default”. (These are both optional)ezgif.com-gif-maker.gif
  3. Enter the default optional Release name and artist info subject line as needed as well as the message of the body section
  4. Once default options are enabled/disabled and notification text is entered, click save.

 

Setting up at the artist level 

  1. Go into your artist folder settings (gear on the right-hand side of your artist image) 
  2. Click on the header for link settings.  Scroll down until you see the Pre-Save Fan Notification section. From here you can choose “Enable fan notifications by default” and “Enable default artist image by default”. (These are both optional and if selected will be the default format for Pre-Save fan notifications for the artist, Note-Can still be edited at the individual link level) ezgif.com-gif-maker__1_.gif
  3. Enter the default optional Release name and artist info subject line as needed as well as the message of the body section
  4. Once default options are enabled/disabled and notification text is entered, click save.

Setting up at the Link level

  1. On your artist dashboard, start by creating a new pre-save link. You can learn how to do that here
  2. Once your link is created, select Fan Notifications on the left side of the screen.  If you have set the default Fan Notifications, the page will be pre-populated with the text you set at the default level. If you did not, click the Fan Notification slider to enable Fan Notification emails for the smartlink  Please note that you can enable Pre-Save Email Notifications on existing Pre-Saves if they are still in pre-release mode.ezgif.com-gif-maker__3_.gif
  3. The release name and artist name will auto-populate in the Fan Notification based on what's entered for the release. If you'd like to change it you can manually enter another name.
  4. Once completed, select save.
  5. Fans who opted into proving their emails will receive an email on release day that the music they Pre-Saved is out. Any fans who do not provide their email address during the pre-save process will not be eligible to receive the Pre-Save Fan Notification.  To read more about fan email collection please review here
